When to visit Anytime is a good time to visit Namaqualand. It is a region of contrasts, with June to August the time when most of the annual rain falls. You can expect occasional snow in winter with an average temp of 7degC. In summer 40+degC is not uncommon with an average of 32degC. The best time to see the Namaqualand wildflower spectacle is during the months of August and September. The wildflowers are dependant on rain.
